SOUTHAMPTON, Bermuda — Rafael Campos felt like he was living a fairy tale Sunday when he went from being on the verge of losing his PGA Tour card to winning the Bermuda Championship, just six days after his wife gave birth to their first child in time to let him play.

Campos earned his first PGA Tour victory Sunday, winning the Butterfield Bermuda Championship at Port Royal Golf Course during a breezy final round. He started the week at 147th in the FedEx Cup standings but will move to 80th after the win, on top of numerous other accolades that come with winning a PGA Tour event.

The PGA Tour rolled into Bermuda this week for its annual Butterfield Bermuda Championship. The event offered a $6.9 million purse, with $1.242 million to the winner.
