Netflix has ordered a revival of the classic family drama Little House on the Prairie, which aired on NBC from 1974 to 1983 (followed by three made-for TV movies). The new version is from CBS Studios and Anonymous Content Studios, with Rebecca Sonnenshine ( The Boys, The Vampire Diaries) attached as showrunner.

The new show will be a "fresh adaptation" of Laura Ingalls Wilder's iconic books Fans are heading back to the little house on the prairie! More than 40 years since the original series concluded after nine seasons in 1983,

"Written during the Great Depression and first published in the 1930s, Wilder's stories were adapted into the hit TV series Little House on the Prairie, which ran for nearly a decade in the 1970s and into the '80s.
