A Powerball player in Texas just missed the $89 million jackpot but still took home a $100,000 prize. The player matched four out of the five winning numbers, plus the Powerball, for the April 12 drawing, according to a the Texas Lottery. The player doubled their $50,000 prize by adding the Power Play.

The Powerball lottery jackpot was an estimated $65 million with a cash option of $31.4 million for Wednesday night's drawing.

The Mega Millions Lottery will hold its final drawing under its current rules and prize structure on Friday, April 4th. The game will "reinvent itself" with new rules, new pricing, new prizes, and a "better player experience" when the drawing is held on April 8th.
