University of Trnava During a recent excavation on the grounds of a mansion in Slovakia, researchers discovered something remarkable: a Roman aqueduct—the first one ever found in the country.
While excavating the front lawn, archaeologists unearthed an ancient Roman aqueduct, a tunnel-like structure used for supplying water, the University of Trnava said in a March 7 news release.
