While we already mentioned this technology back in February, the NFL has announced that Sony’s Hawk-Eye system will be used as the league’s primary method for measuring the line to gain.

Initial ball placement will still remain in the hands of on-field referees, but six 8K cameras will now confirm the spot of the placement.
