Florida is holding two special elections to fill the seats vacated by Republicans Mike Waltz and Matt Gaetz, but the races have gained national attention as the GOP holds a tight House majority.

Republican Jimmy Patronis beat Democrat Gay Valimont. The party also held another Florida seat in Tuesday's special election.
