The Houston Zoo announced Wednesday its new president and CEO, Lisa Peterson, who will fill the position in June.

Located in Hermann Park and close to Houston's Museum District, the zoo is about 4 miles south of downtown. The zoo does not have its own parking lot; free parking is available in Hermann Park.
