The Las Vegas Raiders adding head coach Pete Carroll to an AFC West that already includes Andy Reid with the Kansas City Chiefs and Sean Payton with the Denver Broncos is a dominant conversation right now. But Jim Harbaugh and the Los Angeles Chargers don’t need to worry about Carroll and the Raiders nearly as much as the hype makes it seem.

Pete Carroll will turn 74 in September when he embarks on his first season as head coach of the Raiders.

The culture king is back in the NFL. And, oh boy, does he have his work cut out for him. Arguably no NFL head coach has done a better job in the past couple of decades of creating a culture, a vibe, an attitude in and round his team than what Pete Carroll created during his 14 seasons with the Seattle Seahawks.
