During Groundhog Day today, on Feb 2, citizens of the United States and Canada observe a groundhog, and this groundhog predicts if there will be more winter or an early Spring. This groundhog that predicts if we have to suffer through more winter is named Punxsutawney Phil.

In March 2024, Punxsutawney Phil and Phyllis welcomed their baby groundhogs or kits. The following month, the Punxsutawney Groundhog Club shared that the kits were named Sunny and Shadow and were already growing and developing fur.
