The great American mall, that landmark of pop culture. But ever since the COVID-19 pandemic, malls have been having a rough time, with roughly 1,150 malls in America in 2022, down from 25,000 in 1986.

But what fate awaits this relic of the late, great American mall scene remains largely unspecified.
