Today’s tease follows an announcement by Lego last January that, come October, it would be releasing a buildable version of Nintendo’s iconic Game Boy handheld, which happens to be the console where the Pokémon games made their debut in 1996. But, as with these new Pokémon sets, we still don’t have many details about the Lego Game Boy.

While details remain scarce, we expect Lego's collaboration with Pokémon to be one of its most popular in years. Both brands have large, dedicated fanbases, and if recent Lego Nintendo offerings are any indication, the upcoming Pokémon sets are sure to please children and adults alike.

The companies haven't yet announced any Lego Pokémon sets — or, for that matter, anything beyond the fact that there is now a partnership and that they're targeting a 2026 release date. But the tease will likely give countless young (and old!
