It’s an historic intellectual property with modern appeal, given that Nielsen recently revealed the 50-year-old television series had 13.3 billion minutes of viewing time on Peacock last year.

A Little House on the Prairie reboot is heading to our TV screens in a “reimagined” way! Fans received the news in January 2025 that “a new generation will have its own version” of the “treasured novels” on Netflix.

The original series was produced by Ed Friendly, while the reboot will be overseen by his son Trip under their Friendly Family Productions banner. The Boys writer-producer Rebecca Sonnenshine will act as showrunner.
