Voters in Ecuador have cast their ballots in a presidential runoff election between conservative incumbent Daniel Noboa and leftist lawyer Luisa González – a race overshadowed by drug-fueled violence that has consumed the once-peaceful South American country.

Gonzalez would be the first woman elected president of Ecuador if she wins. She has said she, and not Correa, will govern, but some lawmakers from their Citizens' Revolution party
