First responders rescued a parachutist from a high-rise building in Uptown overnight Monday, the Charlotte Fire Department said.

The parachutist refused to say where they jumped from “or how they arrived at their precarious position,” fire officials said.

A parachutist was rescued and arrested after getting entangled on an Uptown skyscraper Tuesday morning. The rescue mission occurred around 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 18, at the Mint Museum building on South Church Street.

Firefighters worked to quickly create a high-angle rope system to secure and get to the man. At 1:28 a.m., a firefighter reached the parachutist, and at 1:43 a.m. he was brought to the rooftop uninjured.
