AMD has released its latest graphics driver software update, AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 24.9.1. This comes with improvements to its frame generation technology, AMD Fluid Motion Frames (AFMF). This new version, AFMF 2, has been shown to boost frame rates by more than double.

AMD has been trying to catch up to Nvidia by offering its own version of frame generation, but so far, it's only been available as a tech preview. Now, AMD is officially rolling it out as part of its stable and WHQL-certified Adrenalin driver,

AFMF 2 can increase fps by up to 250 percent “on average” according to AMD, but that was tested in combination with the company’s FSR 2 tech and Hypr-RX optimization suite.

The new package works across RX 6000 and 7000 cards and the latest Ryzen laptops, with HYPR-Tune settings for Black Myth Wukong and other games.
