Rollins served in the final year of Trump’s first term as acting director of the White House's Domestic Policy Council.

The Senate Thursday confirmed Brooke Rollins to be the U.S. Secretary of Agriculture. The vote, 72-28, fell largely along party lines, although some Democrats who initially supported her, voted against her.

Rollins' confirmation was expected, as the Senate maintains its quick pace of confirming President Trump's key cabinet positions.
