The impacts of an underground fire continue to linger for businesses and residents in downtown Baltimore with power outages and road closures.

Baltimore officials have convened leaders from multiple utility companies to probe the cause of repeated fires beneath the city’s downtown streets, including one that badly damaged a city business and disrupted the power for thousands of residents Sunday.

Numerous roads in downtown Baltimore are closed and power to some businesses and residences is shut off due to an underground fire, according to a news release from the Baltimore Department of Emergency Services.
