The first royal tomb discovered in over a century is shedding new light on the pharaoh who ruled before Hatshepsut.

Egyptologists have discovered the first tomb of a pharaoh since Tutankhamun's was uncovered over a century ago. Until recently, King Thutmose II's tomb was the last undiscovered royal tomb of the 18th Egyptian dynasty.

Egypt's antiquities authority says it has found the ancient tomb of King Thutmose II, the first royal burial to be located since Tutankhamun's tomb in 1922.
