An annual event was one to remember for some in central Pennsylvania Friday evening. The Night to Shine event is sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation and aims to give those with special needs an unforgettable prom night experience.

The church works alongside the Tim Tebow Foundation to create an event that is committed to honoring people with special needs. One single night, more than 500 churches from around the world reunite for a prom for those who didn’t feel comfortable attending or want to change their first experience.

Over the weekend, Laredo’s special needs community had its moment to shine at a local commemoration of the Tim Tebow Foundation’s Night to Shine, a global celebration honoring individuals with special needs.

At Lake Mount Church of Christ in New Waterford, nearly 200 volunteers came together to give 300 attendees an unforgettable prom.

Kelsey King gave a queenly wave as she floated down the red carpet Friday night on the arm of a handsome military escort, while Stacy Tucker, a little more Lady Gaga than Lady Diana, gave raucous fist pumps as she sashayed to her throne.

The Night to Shine Prom hosted by three Central Virginia churches and sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation provided an unforgettable experience for people living with special needs.

Assembly Church, in partnership with the Tim Tebow Foundation, threw their annual Night to Shine dance. Night to Shine is a prom for people with special needs and it's always held the Friday before Valentine's Day.
