Musheer Khan and his father Naushad thanked the fans and the BCCI after they were involved in a car accident. Musheer suffered a neck fracture and will remain out of action for at least three months.

"Cricketer Musheer Khan, injured in a road accident on the Purvanchal Expressway, was brought to the emergency department of Medanta Hospital due to pain in his neck. His treatment is being conducted under the supervision of Dr. Dharmendra Singh, Director of the Department of Orthopedics.

Musheer Khan was travelling from Azamgarh to Lucknow when his car, carrying his father Naushad Khan and two others, collided with a median and flipped. Musheer is on the road to recovery after the accident and is set to be out from cricket for a few months.

"First of all, I’d like to thank Allah for this second chance at life. I’m doing fine now, and so is my dad," Musheer said in an Instagram video, where he appeared with a neck brace. "I really appreciate everyone’s prayers and well wishes."
