Miuccia, an Italian whippet, beat more than 18,000 dogs to be named Best in Show at the Crufts dog show in Birmingham, U.K.

A blonde whippet from Italy with soulful eyes and tiger-like markings won the overall prize at Crufts, the world’s biggest dog show, on Sunday.

“It’s an honor to be the first Italian to win Best in Show at Crufts, it’s a very big emotion!” Viking was awarded Reserve Best in Show along with his handler Gabriele Stafuzza, the first time a Tibetan Mastiff has been Best in Group.

The four-year-old-whippet beat seven other furry finalists in the Birmingham's NEC to take the top spot on the podium of the 2025 event, placing them among just 35 winners of the Best in Show category over the years.

Crufts was held at the NEC in Birmingham this week from March 6 to 9, with the Best in Show winner named in the final of the annual international event in the city earlier today
