A Mexican citizen who was in the U.S. illegally hit and killed an off-duty Las Vegas police officer in a car crash nearly two weeks ago, ICE said.

A pedestrian was killed late Wednesday night in a crash near Desert Breeze Park in the southwest Las Vegas valley, according to Metro police.

More than a year after a 50-year-old man was shot and killed inside his vehicle in a possible road rage incident, a 20-year-old faces an open murder charge in his death, police said.

Las Vegas police said a 57-year-old passenger died after a crash involving reckless driving early Christmas morning.

Mexican citizen Fernando Jimenez-Jimenez, 31, was driving his Ford F-150 the wrong way on Interstate 15 on Dec. 12 when his vehicle crashed head-on with Officer Colton Pulsipher, who was heading home from his shift, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported.

Dozens of people gathered outside Nevada Coin Mart on Monday to raise funds in support of the family of Metro officer Colton Pulsipher after he was struck and killed by a wrong-way driver earlier this month.
