Chinese police say eight people have been killed and 17 others injured in a stabbing attack at a vocational school in the eastern Chinese city of Wuxi.

Earlier this week, a 62-year-old man killed 35 people and wounded more than 40 more when he rammed his small SUV into a crowd in the southern city of Zhuhai. The suspect was discovered in the car with a knife, with wounds to his neck thought to be self-harm injuries, according to the police.

Eight people were killed and 17 wounded in a knife attack Saturday at a college in eastern China, the latest in a string of grisly crimes to unsettle the country. Police in the city of Yixing said the attack at the Wuxi Vocational Institute of Arts and Technology was carried out by a student who hadn’t graduated after failing an exam.
