The NFL pre-draft process will almost always throw a curveball at some point. During the lead-up to the 2025 draft, for example, Colorado's Shedeur Sanders has been constantly considered QB2 behind Miami's Cam Ward. It would seem, however, that this isn't a universal evaluation.

Although it is a little thing, Sanders's mechanics have been questioned. Most notably, he has a hitch in his throwing delivery that caught much traction. For Dart, he hasn't had those issues. It's been quite the opposite.
