The second day’s play in the Test match between India and Bangladesh was delayed by rain in Kanpur. Only 35 overs were played on day one, and further rain is predicted, complicating the match.

Kanpur: The second day’s play in the Kanpur Test between India and Bangladesh washed out on Saturday after the game was curtailed on Day 1. With some rain forecast for Sunday’s Day 3 too, the Green Park match could well end in a draw.

Kanpur: Rain and inclement weather continued to play havoc as the second day’s play of the second Test between India and Bangladesh was called off without a ball being bowled here on Saturday.

KANPUR, India (AP) — Day two of the second India-Bangladesh cricket test was abandoned without a ball bowled Saturday because of rain. Persistent rain at the Green Park stadium had again prevented play in the morning session and conditions did not improve thereafter as the entire ground stayed under covers.

The second Test match between India and Bangladesh at Green Park Stadium faced significant delays due to heavy rain. Play was disrupted on both Friday and Saturday, with only 35 overs bowled on the opening day.

Rohit Sharma has won the toss and sent Bangladesh in to bat in the second cricket test as India chases a series sweep. India won the first test in Chennai by 280 runs.
