Duke Energy expects to restore most of those remaining outages by Friday night, though some of the hardest hit regions are still inaccessible.

Duke Energy is continuing to make repairs to power lines and reports that a majority of the outages in the Upstate will be repaired by Friday.

More than 650,000 Duke Energy customers are still without power across the Carolinas following Hurricane Helene’s destruction. Well over 1.3 million customers were without power on Friday, Sept. 27, when the storm first reached the Carolinas.
