A hiker was found dead on the Canyon Overlook Trail at Zion National Park on Sunday, Feb. 2, according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

St. George • A hiker who died over the weekend after a possible fall on Zion National Park’s Canyon Overlook Trail has been identified as Cesar Herrera-Ruiz, a 37-year-old Canadian national, according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

A hiker was found dead in Utah's Zion National Park over the weekend. In a press release shared by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office on Sunday, Feb. 2, officials confirmed the incident happened on the Canyon Overlook Trail in Zion National Park.
