We were told that dogs under 35 lbs are free and dogs over 35 lbs that require their own seats must have their own child’s ticket. We brought our miniature schnauzer and giant schnauzer with no trouble at all.
While taking the carriage ride on Mackinac Island, does driver go where the fudge and other shops are so you can have a little time to shop and then continue on tour or do you pickup another carriage? Just wondering how far walk to shops from ferry landing would be. Thanks.

The ferry landings are on the main street as are most of the fudge shops. The Carriage Tour leaves from the main street area and brings you to other areas of the island.
