The views are amazing but do NOT do any activity there. The skywalk is very expensive and not so impressive. And you cannot take your camera or phone, why? Because there are photographs taking pictur… Full review by Valérie E

Grand Canyon West isn’t for ordinary tourist. All the view points are blocked unless you pay. Everything is tourist priced. A bottle of water is £6. I think the national run services are much better.… Full review by Jia xu Z

A fun little place, with a faux old Western street. Our individual cabin was completely paneled, with a good closet and basic but comfortable bathroom. We had our own little porch. The restaurant was… Full review by aer830
We are making this part of our day trip out of Las Vegas. We also want to visit the Hoover dam after, so we will be driving ourselves to go at our own leisure. Parking, entrance, and all the fees seem confusing when reading online and I can't find a straight answer. We have to pay for parking, take a shuttle, then a separate entrance fee? We want to skip eagle point/skywalk and go straight to guano point for a quick hike and our own pictures. But some places say you have to get off the bus at eagle, then take another to guano? Also we will have to eat there and some places say meal ticket is required? I'm so confused on if this is a money grab that's not worth the drive (no, we will not drive to the south rim, we're not spending 10+ hours in the car on one of our limited vacation days).

For GCW you don’t pay to park. You park up and walk into the ‘facility’ where you queue to get your ticket for the shuttle bus (the parking/facility is about 2 miles out from the rim As someone has said you don’t need to get off at the utterly pointless eagle stop - just stay on You can get snacks without a meal ticket - if you want a meal ( albeit crap meal) you are price gouged again There are other better places to eat 40 minutes drive out from GCW so if you choose to go here don’t be foolish enough to get a meal ticket If it’s just 2 of you you won’t feel so fleeced at $110 but personally I’d just do the Hoover dam ( it’s $10 to park there)… you should do yourself a favor and do a separate trip to Utah/Arizona to see the south side of the canyon, monument valley, page - horseshoe bend and up to Moab for one of the best USA national parks - arches… Trust me GCW is an embarrassment in being fleeced :-(…. Its really sad for a huge money grab
Are you allowed to take your own pictures at all? I’m confused.

There are plenty of opportunities to take your own photos while at Grand Canyon West. Make sure to visit the Guano Point stop for amazing views and to take your own photos.
Do you pay for entrance after you have parked or before? I'm not really too bothered about going, been before, but the family want to. Can I just stay in the car and not have to pay?
