Archetypal mediaeval castle in a beautiful setting, with ducks on the moat. Excellent video presentations inside. Well worth a visit.Full review by Relax728877

The castle looks imposing as you approach it and does not disappoint once you are inside. The kids loved it. Go for a day out and take the old train from Tenterden.Full review by Odyssey63309377911

As we will have small children (2&4) in tow this time, does anyone know of any other way of getting between these two locations? I don't even remember if taxis are available, it was a long time ago!

Personally I don't have young children , but my partner and I both think that it,s such a short distance between the Steam railway station and Bodiam castle that it,s easy to walk the short distance without any difficulties . There is pavement on most of this route to walk along . I wish you a happy visit to this impressive castle . I,m sure that your kids will love seeing all the large fish in the moat . Best regards , Chris
