Can anyone recommend a place near the border (ideally not a currency exchange window) where they give change in Zim$ ? Maybe a restaurant or something close to the bridge that won't find it weird if I ask for my change back in all the coins? :)

Not sure about coins but locals on the street offer Zim$ notes in exchange for foreign currency. I’m sure they offer coins also.
