How do we get there from Savannah River Walk
A:
It's an easy drive via Harry Truman Parkway and US 80E. Plenty of signs once you get to Tybee Island showing you the way to the Lighthouse. Takes about 20 minutes.

I never carry a purse and did not see anyone else with one. It is kind of a narrow climb so maybe that is why they discourage any bags of any kind. Sorry that I can’t be of more help. It really is worth the climb. It was really beautiful to see almost the entire island from the lighthouse.
