Mikumi Wildlife Camp is located in the heart of the Mikumi National Park, and offers a convenient stopover for travelers. The camp accommodations offer en suite bathrooms and large verandas. Camp facilities include a lounge, dining area, a bar overlooking the waterhole, a sparkling swimming pool and extensive gardens. Numerous wildlife species such as the lion, elephant, buffalo and giraffe can be regularly seen in the area, and bird lovers will enjoy viewing over 400 bird species. At the Camp are 6 big banda’s, with in total 12 spacious rooms. The banda’s are spread out on the property of the Camp, all overlooking the African open plains dotted with Sausage-trees, Tamarind Trees and paper-bark acacia’s. Because the Camp is inside the national park, the wildlife is never far away. Since we have been here for so long and never posed a threat to the wildlife, we have become part of it.
