If you go to the US side of the campsite you don't have to pay for the campsites (you can hardly call them campsites as they are not really maintained unlike the campsites in the Canadian side). You need to pay and book in advance in Canada though

Compared to what we get here in Ontario their good, and by July they are usually gone. Never let mosquitoes or black flies spoil a weekend or trip be prepared carry a good repellent with lots of DEET in it, we keep it in our car, trailer and back packs. Dont put too much on kids. If you forget it your not far from Hope, the film site on Rambo First Blood to pick some up and explore. Enjoy

PS they have pit toilets only, the camp sites are in a line at the beach with a narrow strip of grass between where you can pull up your boat or canoe 20-30 ft wide.
