The Saxon Tower of St Michael at the North Gate church is Anglo-Saxon, dating from the 1040s, and is probably the oldest building in Oxford. Do come and see the wonderful views over Oxford, as well as the fascinating artefacts in our small museum. The Church Shop has beautiful gift items for you to browse. The church is also old, though the present building is not quite as old as our tower. The church is free to visit, and is a space of peace, prayer and sanctuary in the middle of the city. There is a small fee to climb our tower.
