Hello. We didn’t do any nature excursions so we can’t help there. Restaurants you can’t go wrong with many of them. Las Brisas and LaForketta are our favourites. Beaches, Playa Flamingo is awesome and rent a tent with chairs as there’s no shade. Playa Pence is also great and when you’re facing the water, to the right, walk to the end of the beach. You’ll see a path on the right. Walk it for 2 minutes and you’ll get to a road. Go left to Playa Prieta. Another great beach. This part of Costa Rica is hot, mid 30’s.

We stayed at Casa Wincito, an Airbnb on Calle Bonano one block inland from the main road. Quieter than the beach, easy walking everywhere, but dusty unpaved roads. Great semi-private pool, spacious, but the whole area is TOO HOT, up to 37C, 100+F. Good luck.

Stayed in Potrero for a month and loved Potrero beach as it was not busy ever and fabulous for morning walks, flamingo and Conchal are packed with people. A short walk further north from Potrero and you have Playa Prieta and Penca. Beautiful beaches with very few people. Depends on what your after, busy or peaceful. Enjoy regardless !!
