Go on the Friendship bridge in Dandong and take a thousand photos from there looking across at Sinuiju. It only costs a few dollars. You can stay all day if you wish also. We did that and we also walked the Dandong promenade last month and together those two options will satisfy you to no end. A day trip to Sinuiju will cost $400 or more and it is very depressing. You will only see fake and staged NK. Even looking at NK from Dandong is sad and depressing. Trust me on this. Save your money—-you can see and feel so much from Dandong. We badly wanted to see SInujiu too. But once we arrived in Dandong we realized the best idea by far is to view NK from the promenade and the Friendship bridge.
