Nacozari de García is a small mining town in the northeast of the Mexican state of Sonora. It serves as the municipal seat for the surrounding municipality of the same name. The municipal seat had a population of 11,193 in 2000. It is located at an elevation of 1,040 meters. The municipal area is 3,069.52 km² with a population of 14,363 registered in 2000.
