Wild Loreto was great, and we got to do a bit of both on the boat trip. If you are staying in Loreto Village, talk to Ricardo. He has a rental business right next to the new oyster bar. There is a tour company that offers longer kayak trips. We heard they are good from other travelers. For margaritas and seafood check out El Pescado north of Loreto. There is a dirt road that goes north along the coast, signage is good. Mi Loreto is also good, and the owners are very jovial.

It's hot--80-85ish. Went in October so don't know for sure but you can google a Farmers Almanac possibly and find out.
