Adjacent to the Willamette River and close to downtown Springfield, Island Park is a great place for a leisurely stroll with river views, or to relax on a shady bench. The park has a kid’s playground with sand area, a restroom constructed in 2018, and open grassy play areas with huge shade trees great for picnicking under. There are picnic shelters that can be reserved, and a stage that is often the location for music in the park or other summer events. The south access point to the park also has a boat ramp, and there is an additional parking lot at the end of B Street.
