Our trip with love Irish tours was amazing! We had a funny, personable tour guide, Martin, who was able to accommodate our group which included 7 children under 7! He tailored the trip to us, made p…Full review by Katie A
Question about small group tours -- I thought this would be obvious to figure out, but I can't quite tell from the tour descriptions. My husband and I want to tour as part of a small group that the tour company puts together, we will not be arriving in Ireland with our own small group, if that makes sense. Is that something that Love Irish Tours puts together?

I would think so. Contact LoveIrishTours, ask for Daniel and I am sure he can/will answer your questions. Good luck! Beautiful country.
We are thinking about taking the self drive tour. A little apprehensive about driving g in Ireland. Any thoughts or experiences?

We did not drive at all in Ireland. That being said I would not be terrified to drive over there, driving on the left and all. However negotiating the tour buses and narrow roads around the Ring of Kerry and Dingle Peninsula takes great patience and skill. Also the Ring of Kerry is one way but that rule is sort of implied but not enforced or as far as I could see even posted. Going the wrong way can take a few hours longer and will piss off several fellow drivers. If I had to do it again I would go for the tour bus with professional driver. He had skills and like Kathy E said was amazing.
This is Robin I would like to know if anyone toured with this company in May of this year? We are looking to book the Ireland and Scotland tour and would like to know about the weather, should we bring Euros and Pounds, to use for tips and use our credit card everywhere else? What is a VAT charge? I’m a little apprehensive booking a large tour with a company I’ve never heard of or dealt with. The internet can be a tricky place to navigate trips! Any information the tour and past travelers can give me would be greatly appreciated! Thank You Robin C

I booked a 6-day tour with love Irish tours this may. You can purchase euros at the airport. When you travel to Northern Ireland that is still UK territory and takes a different currency. Everyone tipped in euros. The tour was excellent. They made every effort to accommodate their customers and see that their customers were safe and well cared for. The weather in May was in the '60s and '70s we only had one day of rain. I would recommend the tour.
