That depends on the attention span of the 3 year old. The guided tours enrich the experience for school age children and adults. If you could tag team so that you could see what enthralls the child and/or slend time in the extensive shop, it might work. However, it might be worth waiting until 5 years old so that your entire party could enjoy the very informative tour. In any case, it needs to be on a Must See list!

The time you spend at the Rocky Mountain Dinosaur Resource Center is up to the individual. It just depends on how thorough you want to be. I think we were there for about 40 to 50 minutes at the most. The actual Center is really not that large but it's packed with very interesting projects, etc. If you have children, they will probably want to spend more time in their extensive gift shop. Hope this helps.
Q:
how much does it cost?
A:
Admission is $11.50 for adults, $7.50 for kids 5-12, and under 5 free. Discounts for military and seniors too. I highly recommend taking the guided tour.
