The Malolo Snorkeling tour departs from Maalaea Harbor, which is on the opposite side of the island from Kahalui. You will have to rent a car, take a tax,i or Uber to Maalaea and back to Kahalui. Our tour left at 6:30 am and we were back to the harbor by noon.... there are other tours later in the day, but the ocean is rougher and there are more tour boats at Molokini. Going early, our boat had the dive site to ourselves and the ocean was quite smooth- if you can, take the early tour!
