Can I access and walk around the cloud forest without using an elevator? Some reviews state that the staff would not let people use the stairs. I am claustrophobic so worried about this. Thank you

I'd go earlier in the day as we went to at about 3:30pm and had to wait a bit (15 minutes) as there was a crowd to get in, and then up the elevator to the top floor (you could walk also). …
I'd go earlier in the day as we went to at about 3:30pm and had to wait a bit (15 minutes) as there was a crowd to get in, and then up the elevator to the top floor (you could walk also). Be aware that it is blissfully air-conditioned once you're inside and waiting really isn't that bad. It is refreshing respite from the afternoon heat and humidity.
