This beach is safe, but it is recommend that do watch where your feet do step. During the off peak (not sting ray season) you’ll be okay with no shoes, but it’s up to you, wearing …

This beach is safe, but it is recommend that do watch where your feet do step. During the off peak (not sting ray season) you’ll be okay with no shoes, but it’s up to you, wearing reed shoes would be a great idea if you have them! You can also hire full body stinger suits at the sports hut on the beach. Due to the proximity to the beach, there won’t be any large animals (except for maybe large turtles), we saw a few small reef sharks but they were probably the size of your hand/forearm and they were heading out as they must’ve just hatched. No crocs - but always double check with the locals or early morning surfers!

Yes you need to book. It’s not every day. It should be listed on the Hamilton island app.

Yes you can leave luggage at Resort Centre or Reef View.....airport is only a few minutes on the shuttle bus. Have a great trip!

I know have to swim out a way as the beach slopes very gently. Cant really help about the Turtle Discovery.
