How big of a telephoto lens would I need to photograph the bears? I have a 400mm and a 200mm. Which should I take?

Mine was 18-270 and was fine. The closest you are the bears are 25 feet. You can look at my photos on etbtravelphotography to get an idea if you want. Look under Alaska

Yes. In Hyder, Alaska . August/ September. The bears are in the state park eating salmon.

Don’t go by plane. Take the boat. Much better. I did and absolutely no regret. Don’t miss the bears!

I have a NikonD500 which is awful with low light so Im alittle worried because it looks darker than sunny. I also have a 200-500 nikon telephoto lens . Any suggestions I would appreciate. Amy

No where to go. Dressed in thigh length waders. Around 5 hours trip time. Toilets at the booking in office.
