WEBJul 15, 2022 · 5900x. I consider the 5800x3d more of a high refresh rate 1080p cpu. Not like it's a slouch at 1440 though. If you don't do any productivity work I guess the 5800x3d would be a better choice. 5950 is more expensive because it was built more in line with consumer data crunching and video editing.

I would get the 5950X only if I really wanted to have the edge just for bragging reasons but the 5900X is a smarter buy if you have a workstation or do heavy multitasking. For gaming it‘s no difference.
